Diaspora Features
The COVID-19 Pandemic asks us to reexamine life and death, individuals and communities, connection and disconnection, as well as migration and settlement. At the beginning of the post-pandemic era, this year¡¯s ¡®Diaspora Features¡¯ is trying to find the answers. Many films are correspondingly dealing with the diaspora and paying special attention to intersectionality. By reflecting upon the differences between individuals and communities, they try to reaffirm that all human life is connected to the diaspora senses. Out of a total of 30 works, 7 films are new to Korean audiences. Needless to say, it is the support of Incheon citizens and audiences over the past 10 years that has raised the status of the DIAFF to a greater extent. (Hyuksang Ksan Lee)
