Korean-American director, Andrew Ahn, came into the spotlight making a series of queer films on the Korean sexual minority in the American society. The film delicately captures the friendship between Cody, a 9-year old Asian boy, and Del, an elderly Caucasian man in his eighties. Cody, who is used to gaming on this tablet and spending time alone, follows his mother to an unfamiliar town to clean out the house of his deceased aunt. Del, a Korean War veteran who now only finds joy in life by playing Bingo with his friends, lives next door. For Cody, who has always found it difficult to make new friends, Del becomes a friend who he can intimately speak with. This may be possible because Del is able to match the pace in which Cody builds relationships, which is slower compared his peers. When Cody's mother decides to move to Del's town, Cody is delighted to tell him the news, but Del decides to leave the town to live with his daughter. The sorrow only lasts briefly as Cody is able to get along well with the kids of the town. Although Del has left, Cody is able to grow from inheriting Del¡¯s way of forming relationships.
