Vietnamese-American, Kim Tran, is a writer, actress, and filmmaker. This film, which Kim wrote, directed, and played the main role, is about a conflict between a mother¡¯s conservatism on sex and her dissatisfied daughter, and portrays through short but compelling humorous pathos the short memory of an absent father. The daughter has finished having sexual intercourse at her boyfriend¡¯s house, escaping the eyes of her mother. Unlike her boyfriend, she says that she could not focus, as she was felt like her mother was next to her. However, her true mind seems to be somewhere deeper. She is wearing her recently deceased father's old t-shirt. Even though it has been tainted after making love, and despite her widowed and sensitive mother angrily trying to force her to get rid of it, she dearly holds on to the t-shirt. Perhaps, the father was like this to her. The role of the father, who understood her without any words, and acted as a buffer in the mother-daughter relationship, is projected on to the t-shirt. She still remains in her father¡¯s arms. (KIM Kyung-tae)
