A Bedsore is a melodrama depicting the anxiety of a middle class man who realizes that he¡¯s now too frail to manage an other, also known as diaspora. Domestic labor, which used to be a job for factory girls, is now substituted with diaspora. A retired breadwinner discovers on the street his future is heading towards entering a retirement home, and his paralyzed wife sheds tears at as her fate is taking her to a nursing hospital. Children quiver with the feeling of inferiority at the deja vu of repeating their parent¡¯s lives or even being worse off.
