Fire at SeaFire at Sea

In his previous documentary , Gianfranco Rosi described the various marginalized people around the outer circular road in Rome, and now he heads for the Italian southern island of Lampedusa, ‘the island of refugees’ in Fire at Sea. Recording the last moments of the refugees who made a life-and-death voyage towards the continent of Europe, also captures life of Lampedusa residents, which appears indifferent to the refugees. As talked about an individual life connected and circulated in a huge circular road, connects the life pieces of the islanders and the refugees; emphasizing that we are all connected as one in this day. The winner of the Golden Berlin Bear of Berlinale in 2016.
