DIAFF 5th (2017)
A young man, N from the southern area of the Sahara heads for Northern Africa where he can attempt to smuggle himself into Europe. After a great struggle, N arrives at Tunisia and steals a boat for sailing. But, he gets stranded on the middle of the Mediterranean Sea as many refugees do. Realistically representing the journey of a refugee from Africa to Europe, turns into a totally different film from this point. Although N expected to arrive at a European coast, he eventually meets wild nature beyond a real life and comes across someone in forest. Then he begins a new life of existence not as a refugee. This unique film poetically picturing the journey of a refugee won the Luigi De Laurentiis Award at Venice International Film Critics¡¯ Week 2016.
