Golyam Dervent, a small Bulgarian village, adjacent to Turkey with a shabby fence between them. This town was once called ‘the Great Gate’, but now only about the thirties of silver-haired residents are left with their withering fates. Ivan, a postman and a runner in the mayoral election pledges to revive the town by settling Syrian refugees into the town. The village debates over his promise of keeping the town alive by keeping the people alive. The controversy on the refugee issue is all over the world, and < The Good Postman > emphasizes through the attitude of the main character Ivan, that the ‘coexistence’ is only possible solution to survive.
