Jeong Eunnju, secretary-general of migrant support center ¡®People of Earth¡¯s Station¡¯, is the main character in the film Eunnju. However, the camera pays attention to other people as well. Young-sook, who migrated from China, and Hye-na from Cambodia join Eunnju¡¯s narrative. These three women call themselves ¡®best friends¡¯ to each other. It can be seen as an odd relationship in Korea and they admit it, but they do not care. A strong relationship that stands by each other in hard times and remembers each other in happy moments transcends nationality, culture, and language. ¡®People of Earth¡¯s Station¡¯ was able to support Cambodian migrant workers actively because the three were together. Their relationship shown in the film is ideal and special enough. At the same time, it makes audiences realize how extremely ordinary this relationship can be. A society where everyone becomes friends across all boundaries is the world a director dreams of. (LEE Dong-yun)
